What are remnant fabrics?

When luxury brands and mills like Ermenegildo Zegna produce large ready-to-wear collections - often numbering 10,000 suits or more - there’s frequently excess fabric left over. This surplus is known as remnant fabric. At Casual Fitters, we choose to work with remnant fabrics for two key reasons: significant cost savings, which we pass on to our customers, and a reduced environmental footprint by making use of high-quality materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Savings Without Sacrifice:

Remnant fabrics are the very same premium materials used by top-tier tailors and luxury fashion houses. The only difference? We source them at a significant discount. That means you get the same exceptional quality you'd find at a high-end tailor - without the high-end price tag.

Sustainable by Design:

Remnant fabrics are already produced, which means by using them, we’re not only saving you money - we’re also reducing unnecessary demand for new fabric production. It’s a smarter, more sustainable way to create high-quality garments without compromising on craftsmanship.

Our suiting fabrics are sourced exclusively from world-renowned Italian and British mills, including names like Ermenegildo Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Holland & Sherry, and Loro Piana. We offer a wide selection of premium cloths in various weaves, weights, and compositions - from Super 120s wool to luxurious silk and linen blends—ensuring you’ll find the perfect fabric for any occasion.
